Has this company changed its name, and when?
More than 54,000 UK companies changed name between 1 January and 30 September 2026. Most changes are routine. A company that renames often, or soon after a problem, is worth a closer look. We show the history and can alert you to new changes.
This check is being tested with a small number of users. We run it by hand for now and do not charge during the test.
What you get
- The current name, every earlier name we hold, and the date of each change.
- An alert when a company on your list changes its name.
Tell us which companies you want to watch
Leave your email and a few company names or numbers. We set up the watch by hand and reply by email.
What it cannot tell you
- A name change is a normal event. It is not evidence of wrongdoing.
- Companies House holds up to ten earlier names. Older history may not be shown.
Where the data comes from
